So, I can’t lie. I love me a good werewolf story. This idea that there is one and only one person out there meant for you, while also creating tons of situations where “oops, he’s not the one” also occurs and suddenly there is a second only person in the whole world out there for you, LOL. Thank goodness the Moon Goddess is so understanding when she’s passing out those destined mates. I think I read on one of the apps about the “eight time rejected Luna” or something like that which made me laugh so much. She’s got beauty, she’s got grace, she has a trail of unworthy assholes behind her while she finally makes it with the Lycan King, the strongest werewolf alive or some such nonsense. Despite all the flaws and silliness, I do love me them werewolves and Vertical Dramas seem to love them right on back.
The High: Marlena Becker (Evelyn) pops with her refusal to give in to Dominic and Volodymyr Pielikh (Dominic) is a romantic pushy foil to all her plans.

In this story, our poor lowly woman, Evelyn, saves the life of Alpha Dominic from some inept criminals. I love the “he’s making out with some chick, so it can’t be HIM” kind of criminals. Dominic immediately recognizes his mate in Evelyn, but she has been poisoned to repress her wolf and has a chosen mate in her pack, Harrison, a weaselly worm for sure. Can you guess who poisoned Evelyn? Yup.
So, Dominic is obviously compelled to chase after his fated mate, but Harrison and the fact that the pack Dominic took over killed Evelyn’s mother, causes both Evelyn and her father have serious concerns about Dominic. He pursues her regardless and is constantly trying to horn dog his way into her heart.
Meanwhile, Uncle Mateo, Jessica (Dominic’s ex-fiancée), and Harrison and even Harrison’s mom are constantly plotting against Dominic and Evelyn. Dominic keeps showing up where ever Evelyn is and despite Dominic’s strength and power, she is willing to stand up to Dominic at every opportunity. Evelyn even rejects Dominic and as is the fashion for some werewolf stories, he feels pain that would disappear if he accepted her rejection, but he doesn’t, and promises to help her find her wolf as Evelyn begins to start feeling the stirrings in her heart for Dominic.
Evelyn plots to run off and marry Harrison with Dominic intervening at the last second. After she threatens to hurt herself, Dominic backs off to protect her. Dominic tries to pay off Harrison to get him to walk away, but he refuses. Harrison’s mother and her greedy behavior and comments about Evelyn leads to her father canceling the wedding. Evelyn sneaks away and is found by Dominic. Dominic threatens Evelyn’s father to try and convince Evelyn to accept him. When she questions him what will happen if she refuses, he relents and just promises to continue pursuing her.
Jessica enters the fray and attacks Evelyn, luckily she is rescued by Dominic. As all good baddies do, Jessica teams up with Uncle Mateo to kill Evelyn in a car accident. Evelyn survives and is found and hidden by Harrison, but his mother’s threats makes Evelyn leave which leads to Dominic finding her. Dominic takes her home and the art of seduction begins. Meeee-ow!!
Dominic and Evelyn strike a deal that she’ll stay for a year and he’ll do his darndest to make her fall for him. She agrees, but says her can’t touch her and sleep with her.
Forces continue plotting against Evelyn and Dominic but they’re able to overcome them. Dominic devises a plan with a witch to recover Evelyn’s wolf. After Evelyn is reunited with her wolf, she can finally sense the mate bond and realizes Dominic is the one she is supposed to be with so they finally get together. Shortly after they’re pregnant and Harrison comes back into the picture and wants to run away with Evelyn. Dominic loves her so much he tells her to leave with Harrison if that’s what she wants. Evelyn doesn’t want to leave with Harrison, but does after Dominic essentially tosses her out on her rear. She quickly realizes Harrison is an absolute tool and returns to her one true love as Dominic is also finally getting the information to thwart Uncle Mateo. And they lived happily ever after.
Love this one! Spicy enough for me and sweet enough to carry the romance through the whole story.

Episode 42: Dominic loses his towel (how did that happen?) and teases Evelyn.
Episode 43: Evelyn calls Dominic from the shower to tell him he’s out of shower gel and requests more and he quickly joins her in the bathroom. Girl is throwing down the gauntlet. Dominic drops the towel and joins her in the shower.
Episode 44: Evelyn tells Dominic she’s not playing with fire, she IS the fire, which causes Dominic to shove her against a shower wall.
Episode 45: Dominic tells Evelyn he knows she wants him and tells her to beg him to fuck her.
Episode 54: Evelyn and Dominic finally do the dirty, complete with dirty talk, oh yeah!
Episode 58: Evelyn can hear Dominic’s thoughts and hears him say “I want to fuck you right now".” Man, I love dirty talk…especially coming out of that face! Yum!
