How the Maid Sparked the Blind CEO’s Heart
Viewed on Shorten: Hahahaha! This one was like a campy soap opera. Okay, it could be argued that all Vertical Dramas are campy soap operas, but this one is super silly. Blind Oliver Hansen has everything going for him. He’s the CEO of a successful company, he’s got a solid right hand man, a smoking hot wife and a poor maid completely in love with him. However, his wife and right hand man are having a torrid affair, literally right under his nose.
The High: The chemistry between Victoria and Peter was H-O-T-T, much more so than the romantic sizzle between Nora and Oliver.
All spoilers and no filters ahead.
The gorgeous Victoria (Jasmine Kheen) and Super Hot Peter (Harry Carter) are doing a little firefighter role play before sexy times in the bed, only oopsie! Blind hubby, Oliver Hansen (Ashley Bagley) is literally walking in blind to his bedroom. Since he CAN’T SEE, he doesn’t see Victoria and Peter going at it hot and heavy on the bed. Victoria and Peter scramble while Nora (Kayleigh Foster) comes along to help cover for the two cheaters. Somehow Oliver has made his way blindly into the house and upstairs bedroom, but needs Norah’s help to get him into the bathroom? Um, okay. Oliver slips, slams his head on the edge of the tub and his vision is restored!! Easy peasy.
Nora is being blackmailed and abused by Victoria for almost getting Victoria and Harry caught. Oliver bumbles his way back into his bedroom in time to see Nora being forced to clean up a spill with her maids uniform and he realizes what has been going on under his nose. He plays dumb and pretends to not notice Peter lounging in his bed. He questions Nora for not telling him what has been going on and lets on that he can see now. Nora confesses she did it for the money, but it’s okay, she has a noble reason. She was saving her father’s life with the money. Oliver berates her for being money hungry, and Nora calls him out for not knowing what it’s like to be at the bottom of the food chain. They strike a deal, Oliver will pay for daddy dearest’s medical bills while Nora helps him get revenge.
Victoria and Peter set out to completely sabotage Oliver’s presentation to expose him as a bad CEO. In their little (who didn’t hear them talking) side convo, it’s revealed that Victoria wants to take over as CEO and Peter wants to be by her side, when an assistant walks in a dumps a bucket of coffee on Oliver’s laptop. Now Oliver can’t use the sabotaged presentation, so he impresses everyone at the meeting. A quick phone call later (on a landline no less) reveals Nora saw Victoria snooping in his laptop alerting Oliver to her plan and helping put his plan into motion.
Victoria and Peter continue to plot but Peter is a dumb-dumb. He keeps trying to get a piece of the CEO pie and Victoria isn’t having it at all. She wants it all for herself. Oliver filmed Victoria and Peter and lays his own plans in motion. Nora acts as his sound board when she pours him more whiskey but drops the stopper and leans in REAL CLOSE to pick it up. Oliver and Nora share a moment before he shoos her along.
Victoria and Peter are hot and heavy again when Oliver blindly interrupts them. The two continue to neck right in front of Oliver while they reveal their plot, a business deal with a shaddy/fake app developer. This presentation isn’t even fake good. Did Victoria find a guy off the street? So dumb. Oliver signs the deal despite Nora signaling not to. Oliver reveals he’s working with the police to trap the shaddy deal maker.
Victoria demonstrates she is not a girls girl when she tells Nora she can only get the rest of her money if she sleeps with Peter. Nora is able to get a call out to Oliver while Peter begins dragging Nora off and tearing at her clothes. Oliver interrupts and plays dumb again so he leaves. Finally Nora is able to escape.
Nora is like, “Hey, shit-head, why did you leave me with them?” And he responds that if he did anything else it would reveal that he could see. Nora is pissed and quits. Oliver questions her and Nora tells him she’s in love with him. Nora rushes off to her room to pack only to find Oliver has followed her and he begins making love to her.
The Daddy Hansen comes in to meet with Oliver and says he signed a shit contract. Daddy mentions Victoria came to him concered about the bad deal, and Oliver asks why she didn’t tell him about it. Luckily, Oliver was working with the police to catch scammers, so that silly little contract didn’t count and was all part of his undercover work to catch these criminals.
Conveniently in a wide open room with zero obstructions, Oliver changes the time on the clock practically in Peter’s lap. Nice job checking the room, dumbass. Peter calls Victoria and tells her, but she doesn’t believe him. Peter plans to expose the truth by trying to knock out Oliver with a fire poker. Oliver stops Peter which reveals Oliver can see and after exchanging words Oliver hits Peter with the poker.
Oliver tells Nora what happened, and they kiss WITH THE DOOR OPEN, close and lock a door idiots, so Victoria sees them and knows the 411. Oliver takes Nora to her father who is on the mend but gets a phone call from Peter threatening to burn the warehouse down. Oliver surmises that the only move Victoria and Peter have now is to kill him.
At their final dinner, Victoria poisons Oliver while Nora is filming her attempted murder. In a flashback we see Nora supplying Oliver with an antidote. Nora is snatched by Peter outside. Victoria is playing 3D chess and already swiped the antidote from Oliver. This is where it’s so dumb, why didn’t they replace the poison with colored water?
Nora wakes in another warehouse with Peter when Victoria arrives to threaten Nora. Surprise, Oliver isn’t dead! He actually already took the antidote before he was poisoned. Peter dips out. The police arrive and shoot an unarmed woman, very on brand for them.
6 months later - Nora and Oliver and her big baby bump get married with Nora’s dad looking healthy by her side as Oliver carries her off.
Ehh, it lacks in the romance department for sure and honestly Victoria and Peter were more compelling characters and had way more chemistry together. It felt like Oliver and Nora were in Victoria and Peter’s love story, when it should be the other way around. Nora and Oliver were literally - Nora: I love you and have for a long time. Oliver: I SEE you! hahahah did you SEE that, a blind/not blind anymore joke. HHHHHAAAAA!
